Men of Courage Seminar Returned!

Last month, for the first time since 2019, we were able to host the Men of Courage Seminar! We truly believe that it was one of the best, most informative, and most anointed of our Men of Courage seminars. Men spontaneously got up and went to the altar to pray. And men gathered in groups and prayed with each other. It was such a blessing to experience. God gets the glory, and we thank you for your attendance, your contributions, and your prayers.

We Need Your Help!

At our Men of Courage Seminar in June, we got a couple of men to volunteer to serve on our Men’s Programming Advisory Committee (MPAC)! We are so excited to have input from men on programs and services for men! And we are still looking for additional male volunteers for that committee. We also are looking for volunteers for our Millennial Advisory Committee (the MAC). If you know someone who would be great for either of these committees, please call our office at 813-759-0260 or email Dr. Rivers at pmrivers@aol.com. Thanks so much! We are here to serve!

AN ENCOURAGING WORD…for Families

It Shall Be Well for Them!

I remember as a little girl, my mom would never go to bed until her children were safely back at home. She didn’t seem to be able to rest until her children were all at home and accounted for, no matter how late it was.

I think most parents, and especially moms, are probably like my mom was. It doesn’t matter how old our children are, they are always on our minds. We want to know that they are okay. We want good for them. We want health for them. We want to know that it is well with them…

One of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 3:10 “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with him….” I speak that scripture over my life, daily. And I claim that promise for my children, that it shall be well with them. It doesn’t matter what I may see right now. I speak, and believe, that it shall be well with them…

I take God at His Word which says that “the seed of the righteous shall be mighty in the land” (Psalm 112:1-3) and that “the children of the just are blessed” (Proverbs 20:7).

That’s a promise for your children and my children! That they shall be mighty in the land and that they shall be blessed.

And I believe that God has great plans for their lives, plans for their good (Jeremiah 29:11), plans that He put in place even before they were born (Jeremiah 1:5). And I am fully persuaded that He is able to do what He promised (Romans 4:21) and that He will complete what He started in them (Philippians 1:6).

And so, let’s not focus on what we see right now, especially if what we see is different from what God promised! We serve a God who calls things that be not as though they already exist right now (Romans 4:17)!

So, let us commit to saying what God says about our children (young and older).

He calls them blessed! He calls them mighty! He calls them favored! He calls them healed!

And He says that it shall be well with them!

Be blessed! Be well! And keep believing God, that it shall be exactly as He said!
